Hey there to myself and my one follower little Lisa in Dubai! So its Sunday night and and the 1st of March 2009 and my hasn't time flown! So Tahlia has been at school for over a month now and she is actually liking it! The first few weeks were a bit dodgy and she was asking me every day whether it was the weekend yet and I was starting to stress but after about 2 weeks she settled in and met some lovely friends and now we seem to be into the swing of things. The problem is that I'm hating the drop off and pick up and this seems to be the bane of everyones lives! Just the parking and the heat and the endless routine can send you a bit looney. It will be good when she is in about grade 3 or 4 and I can just drive by and shove her out the door!! ha ha great mum I am hey. The other problem I'm experiencing is the absolute terrible behaviour which seems to be occuring lately. I'm not sure why this is happening but I think it might be some sort of rebellion against the strict routine of school. I'm hoping that it settles down in a few weeks cos I don't think I have ever hated being a mum so much as I have in the past few weeks. I hate that I'm constantly screaming at her and saying no and just not enjoying any time with her at all. To make matters worse my one on one time with Flyn is so enjoyable because he is just such a joy that it escalates the annoyance of Tahlia when she gets home. I have incredible guilt about it but just don't know how to stop it....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
So changing the subject we have the house on the market and are really hoping it sells for a price we want. Its only been just over a week but the open for inspection weekends really take their toll. Just having to do so much cleaning completely does your head in and this is another stress which is probably making the kids annoyed and a bit crazy. We have a few interested parties but nothing solid yet, fingers crossed something comes off before I really go crazy!

Number 2

ok so I know its been over 2 months since I wrote my first blog and I have to admit I did forget about it! But my excuse is that we went to Fiji for 10 days and then when we got back it was full steam ahead for Christmas which passed so quickly and then of course we had new years and now its the start of school in 10 days and my daughters 5th birthday at the end of this month so as you can see its pretty hard to keep on top of things! Besides no one is reading it anyway so its really for my own benefit anyways!!
So its busy busy busy right now and I have to admit that I am starting to feel nervous about Tahlia starting school next week, my first born finally heading to school and I think I'm nervous because I'm just not sure whether she will like it or not and I'm praying that she does otherwise my life will be hell. She has never really loved kindy although she has gone for 2 days a week since she was 2 but I think the reason for that was it just wasn't stimulating enough for her so I think she might be ok at school. Fingers crossed. My inlaws are arriving for 2 weeks on Wednesday which will be great as we haven't seen them for a few months and they are a great help with the kids. Its the first time they are staying with us for the whole 2 weeks though so that might be interesting! We are also preparing for Tahlia's 5th birthday the weekend after school starts and its the first time we are not having a party but are instead going to stay at a hotel and have lunch with a couple of friends so I'm hoping she will not be disappointed as she wont get as many presents as she has in previous years...I think this is why I might have gone slightly overboard with presents from us instead! This is what I tell myself every year too..I just can't help it.
Ok so now I feel up to date and will get back to this after school has started for an update which I'm sure will be interesting!

my first time

I wanted to start a blog because I find myself up a lot late at night with no one to talk to as my husband goes to bed early and my kids have finally given me some peace while they sleep so its nice to have some time to myself and to just share my thoughts! I am probably a frustrated writer who would eventually like to write a novel but at this point haven't got the time. I enjoy spending time with my friends and laughing about lifes little mysteries. I also like to decipher why my children are so weird and love to drive me mad on a regular basis. I love listening to music and normally have some form of music on why I am sitting up late. I also love animals with a passion and have 2 dogs, Harley my Jack Russel and Phoenix my mini foxie. I would love to get a cat one day but Harley would most probably kill it at this point as he is obsessed with chasing small animals and has actually been known to catch quite a few unfortunate creatures and end their lives prematurely! Hence we haven't gotten a cat yet! I haven't worked for the past 5 years as I have been a full time mum and have really enjoyed having that break but its time to get a job as my daughter starts school next year so I think its time to get back into the workforce and help my hubbie out a bit now! We are off to Fiji in 9 days so I'm very excited as its our first family overseas holiday so most excited about that....
So that is it for now, time for some beauty sleep and boy do I need it tonight!
